Swimming Achievements
The DfE now requires schools to publish outcomes for pupils' swimming achievements by the end of Year 6
.
National Curriculum requirements for swimming and water safety:
Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
Use a range of strokes effectively
Perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.
Swimming outcomes for 2023/24:
100% of our children in Year 6 can swim 25m using a range of strokes and perform safe self-rescue.
