In this topic we study the Viking and Anglo-Saxon struggle for the Kingdom of England to the time of Edward the Confessor.  The children will learn about Viking raids and the resistance to them. This topic helps pupils to realise how the changing nature of the evidence historians can now access has changed the way we should interpret the Vikings. The children will discover how the Vikings changed the history of Britain.
