Welcome to the Beech Class home learning web page. At home, members of Beech Class are expected to read; practise times tables and to learn their weekly spellings at least four days a week.
English and Maths homework will be set on a weekly basis. This will usually take the form of a short activities with the aim of consolidating learning that has taken place in school. The children are expected to spend no more than 30 minutes (per week) on homework for each of these subjects and they will not be expected to learn anything new.
Occasionally, extra home learning will be uploaded onto Google Classroom. Children will be informed of this either in school or by Parent Mail.
In the event of a 'bubble' or whole-school closure, children are encouraged to keep up with reading, times tables and spelling practice. New spelling lists will be available on www.spellingshed.com and the children will be informed on Google Classroom. The children should log-on before 09:30 to let their teacher know that they are ready and to find out about work and expectations for that day. The class teacher will be available regularly throughout the day to answer questions and to provide feedback on work so far.
