Anglo-Saxons

This history based topic focuses on Britain’s settlement by the Anglo-Saxons and the Scots. Continuing to build on their knowledge of the chronological narrative of British history, the children will learn about the end of Roman rule in Britain, the Anglo-Saxon invasion, settlements and kingdoms. They will also study Anglo-Saxon art and culture, and the move towards Christianity. Pupils will learn about and further develop their knowledge of historical concepts such as continuity and change and similarity and difference.
