Rattlesden CofE Primary Academy is a thriving and well-resourced rural Church of England school with 135 children on roll, where we encourage everyone to ‘Let Your Light Shine’ Matthew 5:16. We are a thoroughly good school inspected by Ofsted in May 2024. We are part of the The Tilian Partnership - a small church MAT with 14 other local church schools who we work closely with.
Rattlesden has 5 mixed aged classes and this is an exciting opportunity for an EYFS teacher to join our team from February 2027 and teach our mixed EYFS/Year 1 class. This is a maternity contract initially for one year.
We would welcome applications from individuals who:
- are experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated teachers with sound knowledge of the EYFS framework, phonics and KS1 Mathematics
- set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- adapt provision and practice to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
- make accurate and productive use of formative and summative assessment
- use positive, relational strategies to foster the emotional wellbeing of all pupils and ensure a safe learning environment
- deliver excellent learning and progress outcomes for all children
- liaise with other teachers within school and across the multi academy trust to share and develop good practice.
- will actively contribute to our ethos, aspirations and wider community
- Proven EYFS experience is essential, and experience with mixed-age classes would be an advantage
- ECTs will be considered
- a happy, experienced and supportive staff team with invested parents and governors.
- experienced TA and HLTA support across the class and Key Stage.
- a class of engaged and exceptionally well-behaved pupils.
- high expectations for pupils and staff alike.
- a nurturing environment for with a real dedication to staff wellbeing.

Hours: 3:15pm–4:30pm, Monday and Friday, 3.15pm-5.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (term time only). We welcome applicants who can do all or some of these days. An informal conversation with the school is recommended.
Start date: ASAP
Contract: Part‑time, permanent
Salary: Grade 2, Point 4 £13.05 per hour.

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and organised After School Club Supervisor to join our team and help provide a safe, engaging and fun environment for our children at the end of the school day.

- Maintain accurate registers and follow the school’s safeguarding procedures
- Communicate positively with parents and staff
- Enjoys working with children and understands the importance of play
- Is reliable, friendly and able to work independently
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Brings creativity, energy and calmness to the after‑school environment
- Has an understanding of safeguarding (training can be provided)
