Explorers

Our new KS2 curriculum is being developed with the children through 12 imaginative learning themes taught over 4 years. The second theme this year for the Spring term is 'Explorers'. Follow now to discover a rich menu of exciting and motivating learning activities that share creative links between all aspects of our children's learning in Key Stage 2.

Our 4 year plan
Wow days!

Planetarium at the Pavilion

Space exploration is one of our areas of study:
This show has been designed to link perfectly with the Science National Curriculum. Primary aged children will learn amazing facts about our solar system and beyond, including taking a flying visit to and learning information about our incredible neighbouring planets. Is it possible to live on them? And what makes Planet Earth so special that life thrives here?

Space Puppet Workshop

We welcomed the Norwich Puppet Theatre to our school to work with Key Stage 2 pupils on creating space inspired puppets.

Presentation to parents

We welcomed parents into school to watch Oak and Cedar class present 'Come explore with us'.  We took our audience on a journey of exploration and discovery.  This gave us opportunities to share much of our learning through drama and song.

Texts we studied
Our studies are closely linked to high quality literature.
