General Curriculum

At the beginning of each term, we share our class curriculum newsletters with parents, detailing the subjects, topics, projects and activities that will be taking place during the term.  The newsletters also have links to interesting resources, and information on how parents can work with their child and get involved.  You can find copies of these newsletters under the individual class pages on this site (under the Parents tab).  Please follow the link on our home page or the news and events page to our creative curriculum topic for the term.

Please find below our Curriculum Intent Statement and our overview document showing intent, implementation and impact of our plans.

Learning threads

At our school we believe that the children learn best when they are able to make links and connections in their learning.
Within our History and Geography topics throughout the school, threads of knowledge run through the curriculum – the topics are the vehicles for placing the threads in context.
These threads are revisited over time and add to the cohesiveness of our curriculum as the children progress through their primary education.

Our threads are as follows…

Beliefs and values
Arts and Architecture
Key figures
Discoveries and inventions
Environment and Sustainability
