Welcome to Cedar Class
Year 4 and 5 - Key Stage 2
We are taught by Miss Steed (Monday-Wednesday) and Miss Swann (Thursday-Friday). We are supported by Mrs Leonard and Mrs Morrison, who assist us with our learning throughout the school week.
In Cedar Class, we are expected to take a more mature and independent approach towards our learning. These skills are developed throughout the year during a variety of tasks and lessons and provide the key foundations that prepare us for the next stage of our learning.
It is important that all the children are read to and discuss texts with an adult on a regular basis and they should aim to read for at least ten minutes five days a week. We have rewards in place for children who are regular readers. Please make sure you are listening to your child read, as well as ensuring regular Times Table practice at home.
Please continue to support your child with completing their home learning, which is sent home every week and for this half term will have a spelling rules focus, based on our work in class. This is in addition to regular reading and times tables.
